Most Photogenic

Hayden is a very photogenic baby, but I guess he would be seeing how I've had a camera in his face since he was born. But anyways..... just thought you might like to enjoy the most recent pictures.
Hayden came to work w/ me one morning and Uncle Evan stopped by to see us and to entertain Hayden for a little bit. Uncle Evan likes to put his hat on Hayden but this is what usually happens:

The hat is on.....

It's off......

And it's in the mouth.

7 Months Old

Hayden Bruce turned 7 months old Sunday. Man how time flies. He sits up all by himself and does not like to be tilted back at all. He is a big boy and wants to be treated that way. I have had to retire the little swing we have b/c Hayden has learned to sit up in it and I'm terrified he will flip it over. He loves to sit in Carey's recliner and Carey is ready to find him his own. LOL. He is soooo full of energy and is very vocal which I love. He has also been showing his momma's temper which may not be a good thing. We have introduced a sippy cup to him and he hasn't quite got the concept down yet but he knows it makes a lot of noise if you bang it on the table. He has just about grown out of the Bumbo seat. He can push his self over with one foot and he just about falls out, which has just about given me a heart attack. He is so interested in what is going on around him. Carey and I love him dearly and are so blessed to be his parents.

Sittin in Daddy's recliner.

We had a cookout at the Nunley's Saturday night and Hayden got to test drive Alec's little car. He seemed to really like it. I think we might have to get him one.

Hayden's buddy Ryeder.

The Family

Looks like somebody already loves camo.

We had a church picnic Sunday and we decided to let Hayden take a little swing. He really liked it. He tries to swing his self in his Johnny Jump Up at home.

It was sooooo hot Sunday. We were glad to get home to our air conditioner. Notice the red cheeks.

I wanted a quick family photo but we are all red cheeked and sweaty.

After a nap we went to see Granny at Landmark. She loves to play with Hayden's feet.

Monday morning as I was getting ready for work I stopped to check on Hayden to find him sitting straight up in his swing. When I asked him what he was doing this was the sweet look I got. Look at me Momma.

Since we have more hair now it takes a little longer and a little more drying to get Hayden's hair dry and occasionally he looks like this.

Fun, Fun, Fun

Hayden has got such a fun, funny and cute personality. I just love him to pieces. He will be 7 months old Sunday (gosh time as flown by). He is now sitting up by himself with no assistance, although he does take the occasional tumble. He has got a good appetite and will let you know when he is ready to eat. He loves to play and watch t.v. Leslie gave us some toys of the boys and we've not yet played with all of them but so far he loves the ones he has gotten to play with. Holly brought us a Johnny Jump Up, which by the way Hayden loves, thanks Aunt Holly!!! We also got Hayden a little walker. Right now the only direction he can go is backwards but he will soon figure out that he can go forwards as well. Hayden loves to get momma and daddy's cell phones so I bought him a play one at Wal-Mart and it was a great $6 spent. LOL. He loves that cell phone. Well here are some pictures of our little man in action. Enjoy:

Napping at Grandmother's and Papa Ray's with his new little lovey. (It's a dog that sings Rocka Bye Baby)

Up on all fours after a good ole bath.

Wrapped up in a towel sitting up by his self. We're so proud of him.

Being silly w/ Momma.

I'd like to say that he was trying to give me a kiss.

He let me know he was done that night taking pictures.

This is my Paw Rick.

Giving his lady's man look. LOL

Oh yeah.... we bought Hayden a little pool and Daddy got the pleasure of blowing it up.

Can you tell he loves the Johnny Jump Up??

6 Months Old

I'm so bad that I'm just now posting this but it has been crazy this past month or so. But anyways, Hayden turned 6 months old on July 9th and he amazes me each and every day. I took him for his 6 mnth check up last Monday. He weighed 15.2 lbs and was 26 inches long. Dr. Baldwin said that he had great muscle mass.
Hayden is constantly learning new stuff. He is getting better at sitting up on his own and he still hasn't quite gotten the coordination to crawl but it's just a matter of time. He is so energetic. I'm sure if he could run right now he'd be doing it. He is so interested in the world around him so when we go somewhere new he has to check everything out. Carey and I love him so much and are so blessed to have this wonderful, precious baby boy in our lives.
In his swing with his Eddie Munster hair as Carey calls it.

The family at Cracker Barrel. He got to sit in his own high chair and he was so excited. We had to push everything away from the table b/c he grabs at anything he can get his hands on.

4th of July Weekend

We had an awesome 4th weekend. We took Hayden swimming for the very first time Friday afternoon with Kayla and Corey over at Mr. Paul and Mrs. Dennie Goldman's. Thanks soooo much Goldman's we had a blast. Hayden is a little water bug. He has always loved bath time so I thought he would really like swimming. Well momma was right, he absolutely loved it. Daddy and I pushed him around the pool in his little float and every once in a while he would make his motor sounds which was hilarious. Saturday morning we got up and got all ready to go to the 4th of July parade. Hayden liked it for the most part. He really got excited when he saw the horses. He really seems to like animals. After the parade we headed down to Grandmother and Papa Ray's to get cooled off and visit awhile. We got to spend time with Granny at Nanny and Papa's and she and Hayden had a ball. The rest of our weekend was pretty laid back. Which was great and much needed.
This is his 1st picture in the water!!!

Doing his motor.

Having fun w/ Daddy.

1st really cute picture!!!

2nd really cute picture!!!

Hayden will put anything in his mouth right now especially when his gums hurt and blankets are his favorite.

Destiny, Hayden and Kayla after the parade.

Destiny giving Hayden his bottle. She is such a good helper.

Sittin on the watermelon.

Hayden is trying his absolute best to crawl. He can get up on all fours and rock back and forth which is the cutest thing. He just hasn't quite got the whole hand/leg coordination down but it's only a matter of time before he does.

But he can do the inch worm crawl. LOL.

Taking a break with Paw Rick.

Hayden loves to spend time with his Paw Rick.

Yesterday Hayden took his very 1st step (with assistance). He has been standing up for a while now. We only have to help balance him. He thinks he is a cool cat now that he has taken some steps. I took him by to see Papa Ray and we showed him Hayden's new ability and Papa Ray was very proud of him as well as momma and daddy. He will be 6 months this Thursday and I just can't believe it. Time is flying by.
