Let's Go Back to Our Roots

We have been busy, busy, busy at the Martin household. We have been packing for over a week now and the big move is Saturday. I'm up right now putting away our filing.

Hayden has been busy his self cutting some more teeth. Praise the Lord. He finally cut another one on top and now there is one breaking through on the bottom. I have been told that the longer they take to cut teeth the stronger their teeth are. So Hayden better have the strongest teeth in the world.

Hard at work rubbing those sore gums.

My sister-in-law, Kim and I took the kiddos to Mamaw and Papaw Pikes place to take some pictures. It is soo pretty out there and there is lots of old neat stuff to take pictures with.

Hayden in front of Papaw Pike's tractor.

I just love this picture of the three of them. L-R, Claire, Hayden and Claudia.

Here they are in front and sitting on top of Papaw's old truck.

Hayden being silly.

Hmmmm what is this...
Here are the three looking in the old Out House.

Hayden decided to take a closer look.

After we took pictures Carey, me, Hayden, Paw Rick, Meme and Uncle Evan all went out to eat at Outback for a combination celebration of my birthday, Evan's birthday and Father's Day. We stopped by the mall and let Hayden ride the carousel for the very first time and it went a little something like this......

Waveing to Meme, Paw Rick and Daddy.

Still waving (the carousel hasn't started yet)

Cheesing..

Checking things out......

Then here we go.....

HELP MOMMA!!!!!

Once we got going he liked it alright but I was a little dizzy getting off. I don't remember it ever going around that fast. We took him to the playground for a minute and he really liked it especially the car, he is his father's child.

Sprite, Huntsville and Rain Boots

Hayden amazes us each and every day with his curiosity of new things. I don't know why we buy him toys when something as simple as a Sprite bottle can entertain him for a while. He was done eating one night before Carey and I were finished so we gave him a Sprite bottle to play with for a little bit and needless to say it was great fun for him.

We took a little weekend trip to Huntsville two weekends ago and this was Hayden's first time to stay at a hotel. He had a great time playing in the big bed with Momma and Daddy but his favorite thing was to get up in the window seal and look out. He stayed in the window for at least 30 to 45 minutes, would take a little break and go right back to the window.

He also liked to hide under the desk. Little stinker

Back to the window seal.

We stopped to eat on the way back home and he was so excited to get out of the car. I just love that cheesy grin.
Daddy took a couple of vacation days and got to spend some quaility time with Hayden. They took a trip to Wal-Mart and got Hayden some rain boots. When I got home from work they were having so much fun walking through the puddles.

Mail Boxes and More

Hayden absolutely loves to be outside. We haven't been letting him out much lately due to his allergies but of course I give in from time to time. He is no longer walking but running everywhere and is into everything. He is a great little helper around the house as well.

Taking a stroll w/ his Paw Rick. Aren't they cute in their matching stripe shirts, blue jeans and brown shoes. I thought so too.

For some reason opening Meme and Paw Rick's mailbox was so much fun and so funny to him. He would open it real quick and then put his hands down by his sides and laugh. He did this several times.

We got this robe as a baby shower gift and I took it out the other morning and Hayden really seems to like it. He ran around the house in it all morning. It has Lightening McQueen on the front that lights up and he thinks that is soo cool. Cars is his favorite movie. It is the only movie that we can put in and he will watch it from beginning to end and a lot of times we have to start it over for him.

He really likes nursery at church. He has so many toys and all his friends to play with. He really likes the small couches.

This is his buddy, Emma, they are exactly one month apart.

They were being so silly this past Sunday that I had to catch them in the act.

Tigers and Lions and Bears Oh My!!!

Hayden had his first Zoo trip this past weekend. It was a beautiful day and he had a blast at the Zoo. He loved to point things out to me and Daddy. He is such a curious little boy and we enjoyed our day we got to spend together.
Momma and Hayden at the lion exhibit.

Showing Daddy the hippos.

Checking out the otters.

He wasn't quite sure what to make of Buddha. A lady sitting besides us told him to rub his belly for good luck. Well he was more interested in showing us Buddha's bellybutton.

Walking with Daddy to see what's next.

I think they were looking at some monkeys.

He loved the panda exhibit. He has my old panda bear and he loves to wrestle with it and cuddle with it so this exhibit was so cool to him. Plus the pandas come right up to the glass and Hayden would die out laughing when the panda would come by.

Just love my guys.

Checking out the rhino with Daddy.

Hayden was too busy to take a picture.
After we left the zoo we went by to visit Aunt Doris. This was Hayden and Aunt Doris's first time to meet. He loved running around her house and we really enjoyed getting to visit. He finally crashed after several runs around the house. After we left Aunt Doris's we went to visit Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Mickey in Olive Branch. Hayden slept the whole 15 to 20 minutes it took to get to their house so needless to say he didn't quite get his nap out. But he loved running around Uncle Mick and Aunt Cheryl's house too. He played with Aunt Cheryl's workout ball and playing with their dog Doc. We went out to eat with them and that didn't go so well with an extremely tired 15 month old. He did okay for a while then we all took turns walking him to the lobster tank and outside. Hayden after a long battle with sleepyness finally gave in and slept most of the way home.
